✬ Personality
Ranmaru's prime trait if you haven't recognized by his color scheme, would be the fact that he's incredibly hot-headed and short-tempered, and an adrenaline junkie. For the hell of it, he loves to fight or get into trouble, overly confident in thinking he could escape from any pinch dished out to him. Though the reality is that he's very closed off and quite literally has opened up to two or three people in his life. He despises being seen as weak in any way, shape or form by anyone, especially his loved ones.✬ Hobbies
He loves to bar-hop often, drinking hard liquor, stealing cigarette packets from smaller shops or vendors, swimming, riding or steering a boat, clubbing, louder crowds, working out or training alone, attempting to read more alone in his free time, hanging out with his only friend.

✬ Appearance
His striking appearance would be his bright red hair, and his crimson-colored eyes. His eyes are almost always fox-like with pupils thinned into slits, mainly masked by the bangs that spill over his face. Though, he does like to gel his hair back a lot of the time. Unlike typical Hyur, he bears fangs and canines that are sharpened. Across his nose is a clear scar from getting a glass bottle bashed across his face by his father in a drunken rage.
His build is muscular from training in a Dojo meant for Shinobi, but mainly on his own for of course.. nearly five hundred years. Though he has several scars across his body, namely his shoulder, his pectoral and his lower back. Along his right arm would be a tattoo of a koi fish surrounded by fire-like lillies and splashes of water, a momento for his fallen clan, Clan Ji.
Ranmaru is able to shift into what is known as his "true form", a large six-tailed fox with a dark snout, red pelt which matches his hair, darker down his legs and the tip of his tail, bearing red markings.

✬ Background
Ranmaru grew up in a Village by the Sea, created by a kitsune clan known as 'Clan Ji'. The head of the village was Ranmaru's dad, Ichiro Ji, and they were known for warding off destructive and chaotic sea-dwelling Yokai, as well as being a huge source of food and fish market supply. His mother would tend to freshly-caught fish in their home, while Ranmaru would often be in charge of looking after his sister, or would beg his father to take him out to sea. His father has taught him how to steer and work boats as well as extremely fishing.Though, unfortunately centuries ago, Ranmaru's village was under attack and destroyed by a Yokai known as the Umibozu. A lot of clan members from their village were killed or crushed from the rubble, the remaining scattered somewhere else within the Hidden Realm. Since re-attuning to his Hoshi no Tama, Ranmaru has gradually been recollecting the events that transpired as his village was under attack and destroyed. The last Ranmaru saw his father was at an abandoned dock in which he explained, "Soon, you'll learn, son."

✬ Fighter at Heart: Ranmaru is quite literally obsessed with fighting. He loves to tussle with any other person who he deems at least near.. 'equal' to him in his eyes. He is typically uninterested in people that do not fight whatsoever. He will never turn down a challenge to fight, be it hand to hand, with his spiked club, or daggers.✬ Of the Sea: Ranmaru grew up by the sea and is quite fond of it. At times he will recollect stories about sailing with the men of his village, warding off sea monsters or sharing hingan folk songs from the sea. He could never shut up about the sea.✬ Blacksmith: Ranmaru has flyers of his shop known as 'Crimson Ji', a small blacksmithing shop where he is able to tinker or repair weapons, forge brand new ones along with armor, or holds special material, even from his homeworld the metaphysical. He is more than happy to take clients at any given time.✬ Assassin & Bounty Hunter: Ranmaru usually takes on jobs that involves reward on taking a fellow criminal's head moreso than hunting mobs. He's an excellent tracker and has located several criminals at a time by gathering information from locals or just from observation at bars he would usually visit.

✬ Bar Hopping A Lot: Ranmaru does enjoy bar hopping or going from tavern to tavern, though most results into him getting into a fight with a fellow drinker over something stupid, or he'd drag his only friend, Setsuna, out for a drink. The rare times he's quiet at a tavern or a bar is usually after he's finished off a job.
~✬ Fox Spirit: Yes, the man is in fact a kitsune with six tails. Though he doesn't reveal it too much, when he feels challenged he doesn't hesitate to say it out loud. He is able to purify or exorcise dark spirits, voidsent, and impurity given that he negates dark energy.

✬ Tetsuro Wulf - Rival
Things remain complicated between Ranmaru and Tetsuro. The red fox resented his fellow servant for centuries with one thing; he believed that Tetsuro is partially responsible for the destruction of his village and the death of his mother and sister. There have been times where Ranmaru has tried to inflict the same pain on Tetsuro that he has experienced, yet he was never able to follow through and ultimately felt guilty for it. His feelings lay within a rivalry which he wishes to prove himself better than Tetsuro ever could, yet he is hung up on the fact that deep down he wishes to put the past behind them both and understand each other. The only way Ranmaru feels they can reach an understanding of each other is through fighting to their fullest.

✬ **Faukros Krel - Ex-Lover **
For a while their relationship was complicated, at first a one-sided love before Ranmaru realized his feelings winding up back to Faukros despite sleeping with friends or a stranger. He began to felt guilty, though he refused to open up about these feelings for a while. Ranmaru has a lot of respect for Faukros despite seeming bratty or immature for the most part, he feels extremely protective of him. However, since Faukros decided to return to their homeworld on a disagreement and lack of commitment with Ranmaru, they have since split up.

✬ Setsuna Rush - Best Friend
Ranmaru met Setsuna when the two of them used to work at a brothel, Ranmaru being quite ignorant to the way it works other than money for service. Setsuna gifted him the nickname "Red", and they became pretty close pretty quickly despite Ranmaru's rudeness. The best of friends had slept together a few times, though nothing more sparked at least on Ranmaru's side. He enjoys going out for drinks or clubbing with her, to have someone to share his adrenaline-wanting antics with and gradually open up to. Eventually, he helped her raise enough money to send her off to Yanxia officially. At times, they may bump into each other but have gone their own paths.

✬ I'kayah Lor - Best Friend/Crush
Ranmaru found Kayah to be one of his first dear friends, despite his confusions around his attraction of Kayah. He's held a crush on the miqo'fae for a while, though Ranmaru thinks himself to be rather messy compared to Kayah's current partners, thus he keeps him close and platonic while also learning the meaning of holding a true best friend at his side. Kayah has been one of the few people that deeply inspire and drive Ranmaru towards being his best self and rekindling his passion in many things. The redfox is very protective of Kayah's happiness and wellbeing! Don't fuck with him!

✬ Nishikar Nobuyuki - Boyfriend
Ranmaru met "Nishi-chan", which he playfully nicknamed him, in Kugane and immediately called him hot. Though, after repeatedly getting to know the guy over drinks and shared missions, Ranmaru finds himself opening up far more than expected. Given their similarities in attitude, he's gotten more and more fond of Nish over drinks, banter, and a shared bed! Ranmaru typically isn't the type to get attached, but for once in his life he's allowed Nish to a point where he finds himself flustered more often than not which... is a rare occurrence for the redhead. What is most baffling is Ranmaru hasn't punched Nish in the face for calling him "Ranmaru-kun", wow!
